Getting Here:
- From anywhere in Canada: WestJet has several direct flights per day to Comox from Calgary and Edmonton. The program starts on Sunday @ 4:30 PM, please check various flight options for Sun or Sat arrival. TIP: If you fly from the East Coast or abroad it’s best to arrive a day before.
- From Vancouver and BC Interior: Air Canada, WestJet and Pacific Coastal Airline have a number of flights from Vancouver to Comox.
- NOTE: Pacific Coastal Airline departs from Vancouver South Terminal. Be sure to fly to Comox, NOT Campbell River. It’s much larger airport and if Campbell River is fogged up, you’ll be rerouted to Comox :)
- From Vancouver: reserve online 10 AM or 12:45 PM sailing with BCFerries in advance.
- Vancouver to Nanaimo Ferries:
Tsawwassen Terminal – Duke point Terminal
Horseshoe Bay Terminal – Departure Bay Terminal - Nanaimo to Ocean Resort, Oyster Bay, (approx 150 km)
Continue north towards Campbell River on Hwy 19;
Take Exit # 144 (Hamm Rd); To Hwy 19A (at T-intersection take Left) then 4 Km North to Ocean Resort (Right). You’ve arrived.
TIP: DO NOT TAKE THE OLD HIGHWAY. Stay on the Inland 4 lane highway. It’s much quicker unless you come a day earlier and want to drive along the waterfront leisurely.
Do not want to drive? Not a problem. Take a ferry, as Foot Passenger travel light (carry on only)
BC Ferries: Horseshoe Bay Terminal (Vancouver) – Departure Bay Terminal (Nanaimo)
Island LinkBus: Nanaimo, Departure Bay Ferry Terminal – Oyster River (ask the driver to drop you off at the Ocean Resort, but ONLY when you are past Courtenay)
NOTE: You’ll need to arrive on Saturday, as there only one bus travelling currently.
